#1. Lip Stains! You can create a lip stain using lip stick, liquid blush, or even berries. Get creative! This is a no fuss way to have color on your lips which totally changes your look. I like to just take my finger and dab the lipstick from the tube onto my lips.
I'm loving the look in the second picture. Very berry lips, a dark, thick, manicured brow, and how she embraces the pale.
#2. Highlighting. This is really all I do regularly now. I love using the Dior liquid highlighter. The tube has lasted for a year at least. You do not need a lot. Just dab in a half moon shape around and under the left corner of your eyes, so it goes above the cheekbone and up to the end of your eyebrow. You can then add a highlighting powder. I love the one from Wal Mart from Elf. It is a duo palette and its so sparkly. By applying over the liquid, it stays in that area. I then add a bit under my eyebrows, a tiny down the bridge of my nose, and sometimes on my collarbones. Oh, and above the lip in the cupid bow area!
#3. Bronzer. To enhance the highlight or even a red lip, I like to add bronzer to under my cheekbones in that contour zone. Then a bit on my upper forehead and to the sides of my nose. Follow the contour guide here but you don't have to go crazy or follow too religiously. Find what you like and follow that method.
#4. A bold red lip. Add a long last lipstick, apply a powder to fix it (use a tissue in between your lips and the brush). Then highlight the cupid's bow. Put your finger in your mouth and then pull it out while keeping your lips closed to get that extra lipstick off. This will keep it from getting on your teeth!
#5. Eyebrow gel! Buy a clear gel and using the wand, brush your eyebrows up and into the desired shape. It will dry so they don't move. Stay away from the tweezers for a while and use this method daily.
Skin first. Makeup second. (as Glossier says)
Always wash your face twice a day and moisturize. Exfoliate once a week. Give your skin a breather from the foundation a couple days a week. But mainly, do what makes you happy! Confidence looks better than any advice I can give.
