I am going to be starting this new series, Baby Steps, which will be posted every Wednesday. The idea behind this post is to celebrate the baby steps you are taking in your life to make positive changes. Whenever Gershon and I are day dreaming about something that seems far out of our reach and resources, I always tell him.. "baby steps". We will do one tiny thing to at least put our foot in the right direction towards something much bigger.
For example, this week, I felt defeated after a very repetitive conversation between my family and I about money. Having recently finished my first degree, there is a lot of pressure to be dependant and on my own for the first time. Although initially, I felt like breaking down.. I talked things out with G and some other people, and we decided to take some baby steps to solve the issue. That is when I had a thought.. why not try to fund raise? So I wrote a long 'letter' telling my story and situation, created a goal, and then posted it on Go Fund Me. The response was amazing! So many friends and family members were so willing to give. Already I have received enough donations to pay for two months of my tuition. It has given me a new sense of confidence in myself as well.
It is important that we learn to take smalls steps towards bigger goals. It is a tool we can use to tackle anything that comes our way. I would love to hear what baby steps you have taken recently towards a grander project. Comment below and lets start the conversation.
